"Rituals are dying. Keep the warehouse music alive."
Compact Rituals is a house music collective based in Manizales, Caldas, Colombia. Founded in 2021 by DJs and electronic music producers Jake Rivera, Alex Üll, and Kramer (a.k.a Josho), the collective is dedicated to keeping the local house music scene alive in a world where the classics are at risk of being forgotten.
Who founded Compact Rituals?
The project was founded by three seasoned DJs and producers from Manizales, Colombia, whose shared friendship and deep love for house music inspired the creation of the collective. They envisioned Compact Rituals as a safe haven for house music, a space where the genre can thrive and connect with those who appreciate its unique culture and sound.
Kumandai Whispers
Kumandai Whispers is Compact Rituals’ fortnightly two hour program showcasing Colombian local house and electronic music artists to the world. Hosted by Kramer (a.k.a. Josho), the show focuses on featuring guests from across the country who delve into house music and its subgenres. We select artists with a keen eye for detail and exceptional mixing craftsmanship, ensuring our listeners enjoy a dynamic array of sounds within the house subgenres.
Kumandai is the aboriginal name of the Nevado del Ruiz volcano, located near Manizales. Also known as the Sleeping Lion, we pay respect to our roots by showcasing the sounds of our mountain.
